Kelowna’s municipal election is on November 19, 2011. We are a group of active and engaged citizens who want:
- to highlight candidate’s opinions of quality of life indicators for our city
- to let the people’s opinions determine the “quality of life list” of top candidates
- to encourage discussion around issues that affect our quality of life in Kelowna: vibrant arts, a healthy environment, active families, multiculturalism, taking care of the less fortunate and attracting young people to our community.
We are NOT going to tell you who to vote for – we have simply facilitated questions pertaining to Kelowna’s quality of life, and posted the candidates responses on our site. Your ratings of their answers determine the “quality of life list.”
We are a collection of individuals from all walks of life: business owners, educators, retirees, farmers, parents, grandparents, community activists, non-profit managers, professionals… we are not a Campaign Organizer, as we do not accept donations. We spent $29.92 to put up this website – now the rest is up to the power of the people.
